We are seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join a Pharmacy in Co. Mayo - 10 minutes from Westport and 20 min from Castlebar!

This is a full-time position, requiring 5 days a week with no Sunday shifts, and only 1 Saturday per month. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Irish pharmacy and be proficient with the MPS dispensing system.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispensing medication: Accurately and efficiently dispense medications using the MPS dispensing system.
• Customer service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient queries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Prescription management: Process and manage prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Inventory control: Assist in managing pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Administrative tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records and managing cash transactions.
• Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with the pharmacist and other technicians to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy.
• Health and safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience working in an Irish pharmacy is required.
• Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Motivation: Highly motivated with a proactive approach to work.
• Customer focus: Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• Technical proficiency: Proficient in using the MPS dispensing system.
• Team player: Ability to work well within a team environment.
