Clarity is currently recruiting for a Director of Nursing position for a nursing home based in Co. Roscommon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual looking to take the next step in their management career within the care of the elderly sector.

The ideal candidate must be/have:

• Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing or Clinical Nurse Manager in a healthcare setting
• Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience, including 2 years in Care of the Older Person at CNM level
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Excellent knowledge of HIQA standards, healthcare regulations, and best practices in geriatric care
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with computerised systems
• Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on relationship-building, staff development, and patient care
• Ability to implement policies and procedures, manage clinical governance, and drive high standards of care
• Key responsibilities will include:
• Oversight and management of all clinical and operational aspects of the nursing home
• Staff recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management
• Liaising with residents and families to ensure top-quality care and satisfaction
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
• Supporting the Person in Charge and Company Directors in the effective management of the facility
