Clarity is recruiting for Pharmacist for a pharmacy in Darlington

What you need to know:

This position will be 50 hours per week

The Pharmacy: 

Have a large supervised consumption patient base but has MethaMeasure machine. Mixed - open 100 hours so attracts patients from urgent care but also has regular patient base including MDS trays. Supervised consumption, Flu and covid jabs, NMS, Hypertension. Around 8000 items per month. Ideally four days with alternate Sat or Sun but open to negotiation

The Team: Amazing team lovely pharmacy to work in, brand new shop, well organised. Fully staffed with team leader, another Pharmacist, qualified dispensers and one trainee.

What you'll be doing:

• Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and to evaluate their suitability for the patient.
• Provide advice to patients on the use of medicines, including dosage, side effects, and interactions with other medications.
• Counsel patients on the management of chronic diseases.
• Conduct medication reviews to ensure that patients are taking their medications as prescribed.
• Order and stock medications and medical supplies.
• Maintain a safe and secure pharmacy environment.
• Stay up-to-date on new drugs and treatments.

What we require:

• Registration with the GPhC
• Relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
