About the Role
As a scrub nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting with laser surgery procedures at the clinic on designated dates. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that strives for excellence in the field of eye care. Two shadow training days are provided to familiarise yourself with the clinic's procedures, ensuring you feel confident and well-prepared.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this exciting position, the following qualifications and attributes are required:
- NMBI Registered General Nurse: We need a nurse who is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), demonstrating their professional credentials.
- Scrub Nursing Experience: Essential for this role, your experience in theatre and scrub nursing will be invaluable in ensuring high quality delivery of care.
- Ophthalmology Experience: While not mandatory, any prior experience in ophthalmology will be considered a significant advantage.
- Flexibility: The role requires your availability on specific dates over a 6-month period-up to 5 days per month.
- Proactive and Fast Learner: We value individuals who take initiative and possess a keen ability to learn quickly, adapting to the clinic's unique requirements.
- Cork City Resident or Commuter: As the clinic is located in Cork city, you should either be living within the city or have a convenient commute to the area.
- Garda Vetting and Registration: All nurses must be registered with Clarity Locums and undergo Garda vetting to ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
- Up-to-Date Compliance Certificates: Having all necessary compliance certificates is essential for a seamless onboarding process.
